How to remove toshiba satellite battery

1. Removing the battery from the motherboard of a Toshiba Satellite M45
2. Turn off the M45, remove the power cord and close the screen.
3. Turn on the computer and slide the rectangular battery from its compartment.
4. Remove all screws from the bottom of the notebook.
5. Turn the right side of the laptop and open the display.
6. Insert the tip of the screwdriver under the plastic panel located above the keyboard and pop out. Two screws are displayed above the keyboard.
   
7. Remove the two screws on the keyboard.
8. Lift the keyboard and unplug the cable that connects to the back of it. Remove the keyboard and set it aside.
   
9. Remove all screws on the metal cover on top of the computer. Remove the cover to expose the components of the motherboard and inside the computer. The CMOS battery is located in a small compartment in the top of the motherboard.
   
10. Remove the battery from its compartment. You can replace it with a new one and reverse the procedure to reassemble.
